Sunrise Way Therapeutic Community – Toowoomba

About: Sunrise Way is located at 9 Tourist Way, Toowoomba. It is an incorporated association, and is controlled by a non-operational Board. It was an initiative of the Toowoomba community in 2000 to offer hope to adults and families affected by alcohol and drugs and who wish to overcome addiction. Over the ensuing decade and through word of mouth and generous donations from the business and the community, a world class facility was established, large enough to cater for 26 live-in residents. Unable to secure funding, it was not until July 2014 that Sunrise Way commenced operation as a residential alcohol and drug recovery program for the Darling Downs and wider community. It does not rely on any government funding.
