Here’s your chance to be part of “Australia’s Longest single line dance” official record 2017!

No obvious dance experience required! All ages welcome! Registrations essential!

This record will be adjudicated by The Australian Book of Records (TABOR).

Australia’s Longest Single Line Dance 2017 will be held on Saturday 21 of Australia’s Grande Country Carnivale” and offers a unique opportunity for attendees of the “Mega Weekend Celebrations” to be part of a national record. Tickets for the “Mega Weekend Celebrations”, are available for purchase through Eventbrite.

A percentage of your ‘Mega Weekend Celebrations” admission fee will be donated to LifeFlight (formerly CareFlight QLD), as a result of your participation.

LifeFlight Rescue is a not for profit organisation which offers an emergency medical rescue helicopter service to the people of Queensland and northern NSW at no cost to patients. Over a third of LifeFlight’s operating costs are raised through the community they serve. To find out more about LifeFlight please visit www.lifeflight.org.au

Please Note: Your “Mega Weekend Celebrations” ticket is required to accompany your registration ticket for “Australia’s Longest Single Line Dance”, for valid participation in Australia’s Longest Single Line Dance 2017.

* All participants will receive a certificate of participation recognising their achievement.

* All participants will be in the running to win $1000 worth of prizes. Exact prizes to be announced closer to the event date.

* Please Note: you must physically participate in the record attempt to receive your certificate of participation and entry into the raffle.

* Additional Fundraising opportunities will be available on the day.

* Participants can learn the dance via a link sent via email to each online registrant in the months prior.

Australia’s longest single line dance ceremony will begin at 9:30 am at Bassett park Roma (gates open 9:00am), with a special personal appearance by Australian Country music icon Tania Kernaghan.

The official record attempt session will begin at 10:30am, with participants being led onto the track to form one single line.

A 10 minute dance lesson, will run through the steps (+ optional workshops held prior), followed by the official attempt, lasting around 5 minutes.

Raffles will be drawn following the record attempt.

Australia’s Longest Single Line Dance 2017 is to be adjudicated by The Australian Book of Records (TABOR). A successful record attempt will be featured in the next edition of the “The Australian Book of records” – published by 93 World record holders “John and Helen Taylor” who will be present on the day.
