Roma Swimming Pool (Denise Spencer Memorial Pool) – 142 McDowall Street – Currently open with restrictions

Roma Swimming Pool

DENISE SPENCER POOL CLOSED FOR JULY.

Residents are advised that Roma’s Denise Spencer Memorial Pool will be temporarily closed for the winter season starting Wednesday, 1 July 2020.

The pool will reopen on Saturday, 1 August 2020.

For more information, please contact Council’s Facilities Team on 1300 007 662.

Currently Open with Restrictions in Place

The Plan – Opening with Restrictions
Opening: Saturday 16th May 2020

At this stage we are only allowed 10 visitors to the facility at any one time. To cater for this we will be implementing a hourly turn over to allow maximum availability to patrons.

You are given 2 options:
1. Pre-booking via text to Aqua Stars work mobile
0428226271
Details require: Name and preferred time

💢 To avoid an influx of text to our personal mobiles, only text the mobile number above
💢 At this stage, we will only be taking 1 day in advance.
💢 We will hold this spot for 5 minutes passed the hour, then give to other patrons waiting entry (we can not afford to hold spots for no-shows)

2. Try your luck
Rock up on the hour
First there first in.

Regardless of your method of entry or the time you arrive, we will be clearing the facility at 5 minutes to the hour so we can clean for next patrons. Our recommendation is that you come ready to swim with something warm to wear home to shower/dress.  You cannot shower at the facility so shower at home before and after.

These are unprecedented times so we will continue to develop this process based on experience and feedback. We thank you for your support and understanding as we try to keep our spirits high, as we navigate these challenging times.

All patrons entering the facility will need to pay entry, as you will be taking 1 of the 10 spots.
Children $2.50
Adults $4
60+ $2 – must display senior card
I will accept cash or card.

Roller doors will be closed on pool deck during busy times and staff will be on pool deck wearing Lifeguard uniform.

👉 Season Pass holder need to bring season pass so that they can be signed in
👉 10 pass ticket holder must provide current ticket

*** all this is subject to change pending advise from Council and Government direction ***
