Stronger Communities Program Round 9 – Now Open
Expressions of Interest for the Stronger Communities Programme Round 9 are now open
There are significant changes to the Grant Opportunity Guidelines for Round 9 of the Stronger Communities Programme, including important changes requiring projects to align with to program objectives (section 2) and be one of a list of specific eligible project activities (section 5.1).
Grants between $2,500 and $20,000 are available. The maximum cost of a project cannot exceed $50,000.
For this round, grant funding will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs, except for local governing bodies where grant funding will be up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs. Local governing bodies must provide matched funding contributions towards their eligible project.
Projects are required to be completed by 31 December 2025.
The following entities are eligible to apply:
- local government bodies
- incorporated not-for-profit organisations
- incorporated trustees on behalf of a trust with responsibility for a community asset or property.
- a Commonwealth, state or territory government agency or entity that is a fire service, rural fire service, country fire authority, state emergency service or similar.

Please complete the ‘Expression of Interest Form’ and submit it to my office before 5pm, Friday 7th February 2024 .

All EOIs will be assessed by an independent community panel, with successful applicants to then be notified and formally invited to apply.
