Council’s Events Assistance Program and Sponsorship funding round closes 31 January.

If you’re planning an event in 2026, now is the time apply.

Events Assistance Program

Designed to help cover costs such as event setup, promotion, equipment hire or venue expenses for community events.

Funding available:

  • Up to $2,000 per application

Funding rounds:

  • Close 31 January, 30 April, 31 July and 31 October

Sponsorship

Sponsorship supports large-scale events that deliver strong cultural, social and economic benefits to the Maranoa region.

Suitable for events that:

  • Attract 2,000+ attendees
  • Run over one or multiple days
  • Draw visitors from outside the region
  • Deliver significant community and economic impact

Funding available:

  • Requests over $5,000 per application

Please note: Sponsorship requests above $5,000 must clearly demonstrate a return on investment for the region (e.g. increased visitation, economic benefit, tourism exposure or lasting community outcomes).

Funding rounds:

  • Close 31 January, 30 April, 31 July and 31 October
