260430: Maranoa Events Assistance Program – Round 2 – closes 30th April

Council’s Events Assistance Program and Sponsorship Funding

Are you planning an event that will bring our community together, celebrate our regional identity, or boost local tourism and the economy? Council’s Events Assistance Program is here to help!

Applications are being accepted from Sunday, 1 February to Thursday, 30 April 2026. Council is offering funding of up to $2,000 per application to support events across the Maranoa region. Whether it’s a campdraft, rodeo, race meet, sporting carnival, or cultural festival, we’re here to help cover costs like event setup, promotion, equipment hire, or venue expenses.

Categories and Funding Levels – Council has tailored our funding to suit events of all sizes:

• Community Events: For small-scale events with up to 300 attendees, focused on a specific town or local community. Funding: Up to $500

• Regional Events: For events attracting 300-1,000 attendees from across the Maranoa region, delivering moderate social and economic benefits. Funding: Up to $1,000

• Large-scale Events: For events with over 1,000 attendees, potentially running over multiple days and drawing visitors from outside the region. These events provide significant community, tourism, and economic outcomes. Funding: Up to $2,000

Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to bring your event to life and make a positive impact on our community!
