The State Emergency Service (SES) is a dedicated team of trained volunteers who support the Roma community before, during, and after emergencies and natural disasters. SES members respond to events such as storms, floods, and cyclones, helping to keep people safe and minimise damage to homes and property.
In addition to emergency response, SES volunteers play an important role in community education. They provide information on how families can prepare for severe weather, stay safe during emergencies, and recover afterwards.
SES is made up of local volunteers who are passionate about helping their community. They come from all walks of life and receive specialised training to respond effectively when help is needed most.
