Support for Young Carers

The Commonwealth Carer Respite Centre (CRCDDSWQ) is funded by the Australian Government to support unpaid Young Carers who are still in the education system.

We are seeking to register more Young Carers.

Should a person believe they may be eligible they are able to self refer and call CCRC in business hours to register over the phone.

Please phone 1800 052 222 or 07 46 338 300

Otherwise,  with the clients permission a service provider or case worker is  able to make a referral for a CCRC Carer Support Officer to contact them directly.

The funding is intended to assist students with educational cost such as uniforms, books, resources and/or leadership activities.

This could then free up family financial resources to enable the family to plan and enjoy social activities over the summer holidays.
